Meyersville VFD worked in coordination with Washington County Office of Emergency Management and had 3 saw teams deployed after the storm on Thursday 5/16. Crews worked across our response district and deployed 1 saw team to assist Salem VFD. We assisted them in clearing downed trees from the road ways and assessing for any life safety issues. We also had Engine 8 staffed and assisted Prairie Hill VFD with a rescue extrication on a motor vehicle accident on FM 50. Meyersville VFD worked tirelessly clearing the last roads and returning to the station at 1 am. A big shout out to Ashley Metzger for picking up food from Whataburger to feed our volunteers! Thanks to all our members for your hard work!
