Saturday July 27th, The Washington County Firefighter Association held a county wide training at a house that was donated to Washington VFD. They trained on Search & Rescue, Rapid Intervention Training, Firefighter Mayday & CPR, Advancing Hose lines through structures, and ventilation tactics. This training was not only for firefighters but they also had Washington County EMS and CERT on location to train with interagency collaboration.
Thank you to Jack and Ginger Buono for the donation of the building to Washington VFD. Without them this training would not have been possible!
Thank you to Garrett Casada with Casada Homes & Remodeling for his help to the Buono’s through this process. If you have a structure that you would like to donate to the fire department for training purposes, please contact Garrett for more information!
Thank you to Brenham Bees, Nathan’s BBQ – True Texas Original Barbecue and DR. SMOKE BBQ for donating lunch for the training.
Last but not least thank you to the departments who came out and to their volunteers! Training together helps us all work well together!
